U.S. Ski & Snowboard Hosts Successful Event Series at Aspen Snowmass

Elevate client U.S. Ski & Snowboard accomplished something that few international sporting competitions have over the past year: host major events without disruption by COVID-19.

With multiple events on the world stage having to be moved, the Olympic national governing body stepped up to the plate to take on the crucial events, partnering with Colorado’s Aspen Snowmass to safely and successfully host four elite competitions through March and April: the 2021 Freeski & Snowboard World Championships, the U.S. Grand Prix, the Revolution Tour and the U.S. Alpine Championships. In all, more than 1,000 athletes competed from 37 countries worldwide with more than 500 team staff and officials, 300 event staff and 100 TV production employees over an eight-week span.

To highlight and speak to these remarkable successes of a sports team and venue during the highly challenging times of COVID, Elevate offered interviews U.S. Ski & Snowboard’s Senior Director of Events Eric Webster and Aspen Ski Company’s Senior VP of Revenue John Rigney. A number of publications took the opportunity, including The Colorado Sun and Sports Business Journal. Read both articles below.
