Six–Year–Old Ryan McGuire to Golf 100 Holes to Combat Cancer in Memory of Kindergarten Classmate Danny Nickerson

Friend of the child who received 400,000 birthday cards, Ryan McGuire aims to raise money for cancer research through Golf Fights Cancer

What:
Ryan McGuire, a 6–year–old resident of Foxboro, MA, will attempt to play 100 holes of golf in one day in memory of his kindergarten classmate, Danny Nickerson through Golf Fights Cancer (GFC) on Wednesday, June 17.

Nickerson, who lost his battle with cancer in April, captured the world’s attention in 2014 when he asked people to send him cards for his sixth birthday. McGuire is hoping to raise $15,000 toward pediatric cancer research and has set up a fundraising page through GFC: http://www.golffightscancer.kintera.org/Ryan
