New Hampshire Senator Tweets About The Phoenix’s Expansion
Elevate client The Phoenix, a nonprofit that fosters a supportive, sober active community for individuals recovering from substance use, announced their expansion into New Hampshire last week, bringing a free, unique recovery support program to one of the states hardest hit by the opioid crisis.
The Phoenix will offer free in-person programs, leveraging donated gym space, outdoor sites and volunteers to provide critical support and connection to individuals in recovery from substance use. To kick-off the expansion, programming will be available in the Seacoast, Manchester, Concord and Nashua areas with a goal of continuing expansion across the state.
Elevate developed a media relations campaign, which included a press release, pitch and prepared responses to potential questions, and the announcement quickly spread around New Hampshire media. Among media hits include WMUR and Manchester Link.
New Hampshire Senator Jeanne Shaheen also picked up the coverage, lauding The Phoenix on Twitter and Facebook and saying, “The epidemic of substance misuse across the Granite State has not let up during #COVID19. I’m grateful for nonprofits like the Phoenix that are expanding services throughout New Hampshire to help those struggling with much-needed support and resources. -J.S.”
