Celebrity Chef Carla Hall to Put a Healthy Spin on the Traditional Thanksgiving at a Cooking Demonstration to Support National Diabetes Month

The Chew’s Carla Hall will join renowned chefs Guillermo Pernot, Delilah Winder and Barbie Marshall to lead a studio audience through cooking demonstrations at community event designed to promote healthy lifestyles

What:
Carla Hall, chef on ABC’s The Chew, will put on her apron and join renowned chefs – Chef Guillermo Pernot, Chef Delilah Winder and Chef Barbie Marshall – to host a special cooking demonstration in support of the American Diabetes Association’s America Gets Cooking to Stop Diabetes, presented by Sun Life Financial.

The event will feature an interactive cooking demonstration hosted by Carla Hall, where chef Guillermo, Delilah and Barbie will perform various cooking demonstrations, inspired by traditional Thanksgiving dishes. Throughout the demonstration, Hall will provide commentary as each chef creates his/her special dish, while also sharing healthy cooking tips and recipe ideas for an audience of home cooks, teaching them how to create healthy dishes and easily integrate them into their everyday lives. Audience members will have an opportunity to ask Carla Hall and the other chefs questions.

America Gets Cooking to Stop Diabetes, presented by Sun Life Financial, is an initiative designed to engage people to live a more active and healthier lifestyle, and will empower people to cook nutritious and delicious food, and encourage them to be more active. Each week, the Association will share healthy cooking tips, diabetes and nutrition facts, recipe ideas and more.
